DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT FOR PUBLIC ADDRESS (PA)

CUSTOMER INFORMATION SCREEN (CIS) SYSTEM

Made major architectural design and technical reviews on technical documentation and specifications that will was used to implement this project. Dnutch provided insights based upon working knowledge of object-oriented design, distributed architectures, database design, transaction processing, security and network management for the prime contractor’s middle-ware based implementation of the RCM platform.

In the area of Security, Dnutch Provided A deep analysis of the security architecture and raised high-level security concerns. Detailed feedback of additional network-based recommendations for increased security and challenges threat analyses which helps the contractor augment the threat scenarios. Witnessed execution of and provided input on test cases developed to verify system security.

ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING

TECHNICAL CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM DESIGN

Developed a portal that enables operators/analysts to view, edit, and validate their processes, and relate their interdependencies with other offices and organizations and their product interchange.

In the area of Network Administration, Dnutch provided system integration oversight support on architectural, analysis, and design activities; with key focus related to COTS integration and legacy system integration and plan/prepare technical reports, memoranda, and instructional comments on all reviewed technical documentation. Including:

System Integration Validation

System Architecture Validation

Network Validation

SNMP V3 Compliance

Security Validation

Business Rule Validation

DESIGN AND SUPPORT OF CONSTRUCTION OF

CBTC AWS SIGNAL SYSTEMS

Dnutch provided detailed support during the program phases of Design, pre-FAT, FAT, SIST, and Substantial Release. Requirement Mapping Tracing to Contract from Specifications, Functions, and Components. Including:

Requirement Tracking and Validation

Architectural Review/System Software Design

Development Project Metrics

System Security Review

CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES FOR

AUTOMATIC TRAIN SUPERVISION (ATS-A)

Dnutch provided and performed a software process audit of the prime contractor that resulted in corrective measures that increased stability of the system. Including:

Reliability-Availability-Maintainability (RAM) Analysis

Project Post-Mortem Analysis Support

Software developer Audit Follow-Through and Audit Follow-up

Ongoing Performance Analysis Handover

Defect Tracking Metrics Analysis & Analysis Support

Task Definition for Project Audit – Overhead Direct Cost Requirement

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT FOR

AUTOMATIC TRAIN SUPERVISION (ATS-A)

Dnutch provided much of the “corporate memory” for the prime contractor and end user. Dnutch was called upon to provide several iterations of reviews and comments on prime contractor documentation. Using the ISO 9000 process, we have ensured that the final design will be both compliant with the prime contractors own methodology and have also suggested changes that will better satisfy the end user’s needs.

Dnutch provided software development, network communications and quality assurance expertise to the Project, as well as Quality Assurance System Analysis and Audit Review of the design and development for project documentation for System Engineering & Integration. Including:

Functional Requirements

Software Requirements

Inspection & Test

Configuration Management Plan

In the area of validation and testing, Dnutch provided quality assurance expertise. Including:

The program’s Master Test Plan

Quality assurance system analysis using ISO 9001 methods

Requirement tracking with ReqPro for RFP documentation

Audit and QA reviews of the design and commentary

Exceptional performance on ATS-A led to selection for this (ATS-B) project.

MTA SOFTWARE ENGINEERING SUPPORT SERVICES FOR

POSITIVE TRAIN CONTROL (PTC) SYSTEM SOFTWARE

Providing consultancy on major architectural design/technical reviews on technical documentation and specifications that was used to develop the project.

Detailed assessment of the PTC program from a systems and software engineering perspective

Preparing detailed reports, based on key meeting participation, reviews of key documents, schedules, status reports, and metrics. The main effort provides risk management, including recommended risk mitigations and corrective actions provided to the Program Management Office.

Dnutch has provided discussions, email alerts, document reviews, and informal identification of issues and proposed solutions. The reports provide risks, findings, and recommendations in six process areas which comprise the systems and software engineering disciplines anticipated to be crucial for the program’s success

The Dnutch risk management approach has successfully demonstrated key relationships among contract requirements and specifications, the contractually-required engineering standards, the railroads’ systems engineering lifecycle, and the required project management and engineering documentation.
